Alexander
Court Jester to the telekinetic and cruel Platonians.
- Episode: Plato's Stepchildren (ep. #67, Nov. 22, 1968)
- Stardate: 5784.2
- Actor: Michael Dunn
Character Notes:
- Because of his short stature, Alexander was unable to process the essential chemical, kironide, needed for him to become telekinetic. His inability to fight back on the same level as the rest of the Platonians left him the pawn and plaything of the cruel tyrants.
- Alexander is many centuries old, as are all the Platonians. They are originally from the planet Sandhara, but moved to Earth during the time of Plato (whom they revere), but left for their present planet during the collapse of the classic Greek culture.
- Alexander so hates his fellow Platonians that he refuses a chance to be granted their telekinetic powers.
- When the landing party leaves, Alexander leaves with them to seek a better life somewhere else in the Federation.

- His other noted appearances on TV shows of the genre include "The Sins of the Father" episode of Night Gallery and "The Wax Men" on Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. Sadly, Mr. Dunn died in 1973.
